For this temporary exhibition (November 26, 2022 - February 5, 2023) in the Galerie Napoléon, at the Louvre, Mardi8 produced two immersive audiovisual devices.
Samarcande: an 8-minute sound film, projected 7.86 x 2.96 meters, covering the entire back wall of the exhibition. For this film, the Mardi8 teams went to Samarkand to film emblematic monuments of the Timurid era using a drone and a ground camera. The result is aerial, poetic, and allows us to discover these extraordinary architectures.
Varkhsha: A production consisting of 2 sound video projections measuring 3.17 x 1.76 metres. This two-part film begins with an 8th-century palace reconstructed in 3D by Iconem, before moving into its emblematic Red Hall, where murals depicting mythological battle scenes come to life.
